The "leading sheep" of the industrial internet are rapidly growing. Many large manufacturing enterprises have not only achieved digitalization themselves, but their industrial internet platforms are also driving a group of other enterprises.

A series of data shows that transformation is accelerating. Tu Gaokun, Director of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, said at the recent Guangdong Provincial Conference on Promoting Manufacturing Digital Transformation that, following the principle of "enterprises contribute a portion, platforms offer a discount, and the government provides subsidies," Guangdong has promoted various platforms to provide over 400 application services, accelerating the use of industrial internet to solve pain points and bottlenecks in production and manufacturing. Cumulatively, more than 15,000 industrial enterprises have been driven to implement digital transformation using industrial internet technologies,带动 over 500,000 enterprises to "go online and use cloud services."

Guangzhou, which pioneered the national top-level node of the industrial internet identification resolution system in 2018, has achieved an identification resolution volume of 1.49 billion, ranking among the top in the country. Over 40% of the city's designated-size enterprises have "gone online and onto platforms," steadily advancing the construction of a strong manufacturing city.
Lin Xueping, Deputy Director of the Intelligent Manufacturing Research Institute at the China Association for Science and Technology's United Association of Intelligent Manufacturing Societies, believes that from enterprises to supply chains and industrial clusters, digitalization is reshaping industrial chains and improving the quality and efficiency of manufacturing.
03 "Breakthrough Pioneer of China's Industrial Software"
Although significant progress has been made, Guangdong's manufacturing digital transformation still faces arduous tasks. Ge Changwei, Director of the Guangdong Provincial Development and Reform Commission, believes that the breadth and depth of digital transformation in Guangdong need further strengthening. Only one-sixth of the province's enterprises have "gone online," and key indicators such as the digitalization rate of critical processes still require further improvement.
Digital transformation is an inevitable choice for the high-quality development of manufacturing. The growth of heavyweight cross-industry and cross-domain industrial internet platforms, along with the continuous advancement of new infrastructure, has laid a solid foundation for Guangdong's accelerated digital transformation.
Since the national top-level node of the industrial internet identification resolution system (Guangzhou) was first launched nationwide in 2018, it has achieved an identification resolution volume of 1.49 billion, ranking first in the country. By 2020, Guangdong had cumulatively built 124,000 5G base stations.
According to the Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, in the 2020 Key Indicators Report on the Application Level of Industrial Internet Platforms released by the National Research Center for Industrial Information Security Development, Guangdong ranked first in the nation.
Tu Gaokun stated that the next step for the department will be to organize technological breakthroughs and demonstration applications in areas such as industrial software, artificial intelligence, and intelligent manufacturing, focusing on providing crucial technological support for the digital transformation of manufacturing.
Currently, Guangdong's manufacturing digital transformation leads the nation. Based on its robust manufacturing system, Guangdong should become a breakthrough pioneer for domestic industrial software.
