Only one-sixth of the enterprises in the province have been "on the cloud", and important indicators such as the numerical control rate of key processes still need to be further improved.

Since the national top node (Guangzhou) for industrial Internet identification resolution was first opened nationwide in 2018, the number of identification resolutions has reached 1.49 billion, ranking first in the country. In 2020, Guangdong has built a total of 124,000 5G base stations.

According to the Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Guangdong ranks first in the country in the 2020 key indicators report on the application level of industrial Internet platforms released by the National Industrial Information Security Development Research Center.

Tu Gaokun said that in the next step, the industry and information sector will organize technical research and demonstration applications in industrial software, artificial intelligence and intelligent manufacturing, and strive to provide important scientific and technological support for the digital transformation of the manufacturing industry.
